The short version

The Twin iOS app is an early Preview, planned for testing through TestFlight. It runs on your iPhone with sample content and does not collect, store, sell or share personal data with us. It makes no network connections. No tracking. No ads. No analytics.

What's in this Preview

• Saved on this iPhone only. Your approvals, house rules, activity and app-connection choices are saved on this iPhone only. Nothing leaves your iPhone.
• Sample content. Anything marked Preview or Sample is illustrative. Sample drafts and sample activity rows are for illustration only. Twin does not send messages, make calls or make purchases in this version.
• No Twin account. There is no sign-in. We don't ask for your name, email or phone number in the app.
• No tracking. Twin does not track you across apps or websites and does not use advertising identifiers.
• Ask Twin is a Preview. Text you type in the Ask bar is not sent anywhere. The app tells you "nothing was sent."
• No payments. Payments are not in this version. Twin does not ask for or store payment details.
• Reset any time. Settings › Reset sample data puts the samples back.

Website waitlist (twindevice.com)

The waitlist on our website isn't connected yet. If you type your name and email there today, nothing is sent or stored, and the page tells you so. When we connect it, we will store only the name and email you submit, so we can tell you when Twin launches. We won't sell that list or use it for bulk messaging. You can ask us to delete your entry by emailing support@twindevice.com. We'll update this section before the waitlist goes live, including how long we keep entries and how to unsubscribe (Coming soon).

Device permissions

This version doesn't ask for camera, location, contacts, microphone or notifications. If a future version needs a permission, iOS will ask you first, and you can say no.

What will change when you pair a real Twin

Pairing a real Twin is Coming soon. The "Set up DIY Twin" screens in this version are a walkthrough only and don't pair a device. When pairing or a hosted Twin arrives, Twin will need some data to work, for example a pairing identity and the requests you choose to send. Before that ships, we will update this policy and the App Store privacy labels, explain what is collected and why, and ask for your consent in the app before anything leaves your iPhone.

Children

The Twin Preview app is rated for all ages (4+) and does not collect personal data from anyone, including children. If you think a child has entered their details in our website waitlist, email support@twindevice.com and we'll delete them.
